The Four City Stamp Series turns New York, Seattle, Boston, and San Francisco into a cohesive set of illustrated stamps.

The goal was to make each city feel distinct without letting the collection feel scattered. Since stamps have such limited space, the design had to rely on the essentials: color, type, illustration, and a strong grid system.

New York uses Art Deco influence and burnt orange tones to capture the city’s energy and architectural character. Seattle uses cool teal tones and
Lucida Fax to reflect its misty waterfront atmosphere. Boston uses deep navy and Haettenschweiler to feel historic, established, and bold. San Francisco uses warm reds and pinks with Berlin Sans FB Demi, pulling from the color and personality of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Each stamp began as a hand drawn sketch and was refined into vector artwork in Illustrator. The final series feels unified as a collection, while still giving each city its own visual identity.
